The LUC held a public hearing and accepted the Final EIS.

The LUC is expected to hold public hearings and act on the ‘O‘oma Beachside Village State Land Use District Boundary Amendment.
Summer
‘O‘oma Beachside Village will then prepare and submit County Special Management Area (SMA) and County Zoning applications. Afterward, the County Planning Commission and County Council are anticipated to review and hold public hearings on the applications.
Fall
The County Planning Commission is anticipated to act on the ‘O‘oma Beachside Village SMA application.
Winter
The County Council is anticipated to act on the ‘O‘oma Beachside Village Zoning application. Phase 2 of the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway widening (Kealakehe Parkway to Kona Airport) is estimated to be completed.

The engineering and design components for ‘O‘oma Beachside Village will begin.
Fall
The engineering and design components for ‘O‘oma Beachside Village will be finalized.
Winter
Construction of the ‘O‘oma Beachside Village residential community is estimated to begin
after all entitlement and permitting approvals have been received. Construction is anticipated to occur in three phases over a 10-year build-out period.
